Merry Christmas

I hope you are all enjoying being together for the Holidays. I miss you all and wish i could be with my family too! I will be with my host family on Christmas playing with fireworks, eating a lot, drinking a lot of this sangria-like drink and trying to stay cool. Today my host family is killing a pig and will be roasting it all day. I snuck out of the house early this morning and came to Concepcion to do some shopping so that I wouldn´t have to witness the butchering. They are going to tease me about it but at least I won´t have to be there to see it. They kept joking and telling me I was going to have to hold it down and that I have to eat some tonight. They will probably hang the pig head outside my door or something but I´ll get them back somehow. It´s also my host brother´s bday tomorrow so we will be having a good time and they´ll be eating pig all week. It´s doesn´t really feel like Christmas here but I am glad I am getting the opportunity to see how Paraguayans spend their holidays. One reason it doesn´t feel like Christmas is because it´s summer here. Here is a little peak at the the weather forecase for Dec 25th 2007.
